Managing Politics and Power
Managing Politics and Power is a two-day programme for people who need to operate more effectively in political workplace environments. The workshop identifies a range of political behaviours regularly used by people at work, and outlines an effective strategy for handling each of them so that you retain influence in challenging circumstances.
The workshop features sessions on identifying your preferred sources of power and influence at work, and your preferred values as a decision-maker and problem-solver. The workshop incorporates case studies from your working life, tailored scenarios enacted by professional actors and provides you with opportunities to develop and practise a suite of effective political management skills.
Handling Conflict at Work
Handling Conflict at Work is designed for people who experience conflict with their colleagues or clients and want to learn how to manage the process of disagreement through to resolution. It introduces you to an effective process for managing conflict, enabling you to recognise the stage to which a conflict has escalated and equipping you with effective tools and techniques with which to address the issues.
The workshop provides you with individual feedback on your preference for using each of five conflict-handling tools, and with insights from Myers-Briggs on how your personality type typically responds in conflict situations. The workshop incorporates a series of tailored conflict-handling scenarios enacted by professional actors, and provides you with opportunities to practise using new and more effective conflict management skills and tools.
